    I think it's just the history of gun laws. Not saying one way or the other whether they're bad or good or unconstitutional. It's simply stating what the laws have been over the years.

    The Constitution was upheld twice in the last decade otherwise the 2A has been chipped and now being hacked at for the last 70+ years.

    It is now on seriously thin ice.

    The history explained in the article are the laws we are supposed to see, there are literally thousands upon thousands of firearms laws in the books.

    I don't think you mean 'gun control' I think you mean 'anti-gun laws', correct???
    And they started in the larger urban areas to control the opposition of the corrupt political machines in power then and it continues to day for the same purpose. They had NOTHING TO DO WITH PUBIC SAFETY as the current situation in Illinois proves. :(

    Good article, overall. As far as I can tell, not leaning either direction, just history.

    In the end, he says that there is no study showing any correlation between legislation and crime.
