Howdy y'all. I joined this 'site last fall (2011) but have rudely not introduced myself. I'm sorta semi-retired, but not certain. My wife recently retired from the Navy, so in following her around my career is inconclusive after having grown up in Cleveland, Ohio long, long ago. I spent about ten years in the Navy at two different times as a musician. Along the way, USN got my orders fouled up and I did roughly three months in the avionics schools in Millington, TN, which was a huge break for me as the Navy taught me algebra in short order. If that light had gone on in high school I likely would not be a musician, but life is interesting. Between enlistments and continuing to be a degenerate musician, I went back to school and earned an AS in Civil Engineering while working nights and weekends in a local mom & pop hardware store in Columbus, Ohio. I have NEVER played Freebird, but have done Proud Mary as a Cha-Cha and Goodbye Porkpie Hat as a Disco. Music should be fun, no? Yada yada... I worked as a design engineer at Rocketdyne Division, then more Navy, then engineer at a little outfit north of Chicago, then everywhere with my wife. I love target shooting my MkII Gov't Target Model, and I really like black powder shooting with Civil War-era replicas, particularly the Remington New Model Army revolver. We very much like South Texas. I enjoy reading the threads herein, and seem to always learn something good and useful. The mods do a great job. There. Now hopefully you know more about me than the government does.
