If one is lucky and gets a good working Kimber 1911 all is good, but many today are not so lucky. With Kimbers in such high demand their production is being pushed hard, to get new 1911s out the door. If there are problems then the Kimber Custom shop has to get the problems fixed. The good side of this if there is such a thing, is the high Kimber demand gives people like myself a great chance to get top dollar for my Kimbers on trades. Myself I feel today Colt is building really quality 1911s again, and I notice the demand for them is building up quickly. I just hope Colt does not lose sight of their quality as they try to ramp up for the demand. Not over rated, just over priced and short warranted.
Keep in mind if you find the perfect Colt except for the ambi safety it can be addedWell then y'all will be happy to know my next purchase will be a Colt, just don't know which one yet, give me some ideas please, keep in mind I'm left handed so I do need the amby safety
