Picked up a Remington 870 Wingmaster 12 Gauge with 28-inch vented barrel. It's in good shape for an older shotgun. I also picked up the mag extension taking capacity to 10 shells, you know, for fun or zombies. Price was $279. How'd I do? Pay too much? I just wanted a good inexpensive shotgun that I could shoot some skeet with once a blue moon.

Fine, if working. Better'n a new "Express" that's fer sure. Ooops, can I say that? Maybe get new springs and a firing pin? And isn't it a little big, heavy, and long for skeet?

Well, you shouldn't have any trouble stopping your swing with that set up.
