Got into a wreck, not my fault though.

Internet and phone lines were down for two days so I couldn't talk about it.

I will always drive trucks for the rest of my life from now on because my ole' 98' Ranger treated me well.

Was going down the road like normal to work and an old couple pulled out in front of me and I demolished their bumper. It was there fault but we just called the cops and he didn't write a report we just exchanged information.

My ole' truck just got it's bumper dented in and she's still chugging along. Kinda wish I bought that brace I wanted but if I did probably would have hurt the ole gal and pal.

Nice people though just glad they are OK. Also for once I met a nice hoover cop.

Young guy who had a smile on his face who even joked that I had a warrent on me. I **** myself then he laughed and slapped my shoulder, "Hey I was only kidding! I always joked with someone in their first wreck! Gahaha....even my LT. got into a wreck just now!"

But I'm alright.....kind of sad my old girl's got another battle scar...but she's a trooper....not a scratch on her. Built like a tank and only costs 20 bucks to fill er up.

Good to see you and everyone else involved in the fender bender are OK Jiro, and unhurt. Bumpers are made for dents, glad that was all the damage you sustained and it did not impede your "old girls" operation and your mode of travel. :)

Glad you didn't get hurt! My nephew is driving a lil 88 ranger, good fuel economy and utility.

Even better that you got to speak with a cop that proved to be a real human being. Refreshing, isn't it. We're not all a$$holes. You just tend to notice the a$$holes more than the human cops. They smell bad and make alot of noise.

I too am a fan of my 94 Ranger for the same reason. I had someone turn left in front of me and I couldn't stop, smashed their quarter panel, bumper, and trunk lid. Scratched my bumper.
A girl ran into the back of me, bent my bumper. Smashed her plastic bumper, headlight, hood, fender and passenger door. I got a nice check from her insurance too.
I am a fan of steel bumpers, you can keep your molded plastic.

Glad to hear everyone was OK though.

Nothing pisses me off more than my mother handeling my business.

The guys insurance called today which was weird because we weren't going to report it....they were asking for some info for a claim for me I guess....a free check in the mail.

My mother screwed it up and said "We aint going to take no claim we don't want to report it."

But I told my mother that he already reported it then and we should take the claim, But she ****ed it up. My premiums won't go up...that means the man admitted fault and is trying to be a nice guy by giving me a check to get my bumper fixed....enough though I'd probably pocket the cash.

Eh then again on the other side maybe it will make his insurance be more leniant and my mother is being smarter than I.....hurr...actually no....the insurance company is just going to pocket my cash and up that mans insurance up the *** like they were going to do anyway.

    Insurance companies...bah.

She didn't sign anything; call the insurance company back. Tell them the only damage was the bumper & you can get a new one for about $X.

FYI, I pushed some kid's bumper up under his S10 with my GEO prizm a few years ago & insisted on getting a police report & letting my insurance company fix it for the kid. He had just gotten the truck & got cut off in traffic right in front of me. I felt better knowing duder got his new-to-him truck fixed back. :)

You better hope they don't sent you to great lakes Ill. that will be one cold place in Feb,I froze my arse off there in May,they might shut the windows in the barracks when the temp dips below 20 degrees. What A school are you going to? My advice is to keep the company comanders from learning your name for as long as possible and do not volunteer for anything, they will volunteer you all you will want, just pay attention to what they say and try to act like a fly on the wall and you will do well. Pm me if you have any questions.

When I went through they treated all the nukes gently, they were hurting for nukes then as I imagine they are today,I went through great mistakes, great lakes in 1982. It will be a great experience for you and give you stories to tell your kids and grand kids. Good luck and stay safe,

I heard they come around and gently have your personal assastant wake you up every morning in the Navy... Nothing like having cold water sprayed on you at 0330.

    trash cans shoot

They threw effign CS gas in our barracks a few times.

That was fun it got me out of training for an entire day while I was sitting at the docs because I had a bad reaction to it. I burst all the blood vessels in my eyes so the white was red with blood boy did I look freaky.
