I'm wanting to know what kind of magazines are good for my Taurus 24/7. I have three and they all quit working. The gun works great it's the magazines that are the problem. ?

What does "quit working" mean? Also, is it a 45? I know several years back the 24/7 45 mags had problems, but the relatively new ones (made within the last few years) should be good.

But AFAIK, there are no aftermarket mags for the 24/7 series guns.

I've got Taurus mags that are 15 years old that haven't fatigued.

Call Taurus, tell them you want new mags

What exactly is it doing? It is reaaallly unlikely that the springs are the issue :) .

i cant fit more than two bullets in the mags if i put more than two in it acts like theres no spring at all and the bullets all fall to the bottom

That almost doesn't make sense, heh. If I'm reading that right, it sounds like when you put the third round in, the spring somehow compresses itself all the way to the bottom of its stroke.

Do you mean when you put more than a few in, the spring stops providing upward pressure on the rounds? Two likely culprits for that would be dirty mags or ammo that is too long. Basically, the follower or bullets are getting stuck inside the mag when cartridges are loaded, which is preventing the follower from pushing back up on the cartridges when you release finger pressure from the newly-fed round. Have you tried disassembling and cleaning the mags? What ammo are you using?
