I have a quick question is a 30-30 with leveroution good enough to hunt elk with in colorado?
Yes, but with the restriction of 100 yards or less. You just don't have enough retained energy for longer work! I would much prefer you use a .45-70 if you want to use a levergun.
You probably own a 30-30, and want to stretch its capabilities without buying a proper gun and caliber for the job? Just conjecture on my part, but what is your motive for asking the question? I'm curious.
