I'm think of getting a 9mm glock. Which model would u recommend?
Sig P226, just kidding. Depends on what you are going to use it for. G17 is a full size model for open carry and home defense, or even comp. G19 is a good (as far as Glock goes) CC. I would not go for a "Baby" Glock because you are trading capacity for deep concealment. The 34 is made for competition with the long barrel. I do not recommend any vented Glocks due to muzzle flash at night. Gen4 has had the most problems because of the spring, but they have claimed to fix the problem. Ask the question on which Gen4 you are getting! I know students who have asked for the Gen3 instead of Gen4. Enjoy your new gun!!! Maybe go for the middle ground and get the G19.
How will you use it? Concealed carry? G19 or 26. Range plinker or home defense? G17 or 19.
I had a 19 I liked a lot, but sold it to buy something else.
A word of caution: both the Glocks I've owned, the 19 and a G22, were earlier ones. The nine was second generation and the .40 was first gen. I have no experience with the third or fourth generations, but I've read a lot of expressions of discontent with the fourth-gen guns.
That first generation G22 was a sweet shooter.
Wheeew, comes in here guns blazing with blind ambitions!
Need more background dude. Whats your experience, whats it used for, your size, etc. You have 3 models to choose from and unless you already have an inside connection lined up, be prepared to pay between $650-$800 on an auction site....or get EXTREEEEEMELY lucky at your local gun shop.
I was think of a compact...I've been looking at the g19...I would use it for carry and home defense
You answered your own question! The g19 is perfect for you.
Well, sometimes I carry my compact G26 because it is easy to conceal. Sometimes I use it in shooting IDPA. I keep it handy at home for protection.
I carry and conceal a 19c. My 19 is my go to. It is great all around gun. I can conceal it in my cross bread super tuck with just a t shirt. I like the c model, it is almost like shooting a 22 or 32. There is minimal recoil and the ports are angled so it does not mess with your sight picture.
If I could only pick one , It would have to be the G-19.! Pretty accurate and portable , the best of both. Not having to pick just one , I have the 17 and the 26....! 17,s just fun to shoot and as accurate as I am , my favorite shooter!
Well for my 9mm glock I just went with a Gen4 G22 (.40cal) along with a KKM 9mm conversion barrel. This lets me load it up with .40 cal for HD and also go to the range and shoot cheaper 9mm. Two guns in one, just an option.
Glock 27 in .40 cal... And get a 9mm conversion barrel and mags for it. The great thing about glocks is that they have interchangable mags. So get some 19 and 23 mags or even some 17 mags. Dont let the baby glocks fool you they shoot almost as well as its bigger brothers and you can use bigger mags if you want. Plus theres pearce extension grips for.your pinky if that bothers you. I have a g19 and i love it its flawless. Its also a gen 4 but anyway sometimes its just too big for summertime carry. The g27 is perfect because its easily converted to 9mm and if you practice enough you can graduate to the .40 round without spending another 600 bucks. But whatever you choose if its a glock youre on the right path
Suggest the 19 for all reasons already stated. But it really doesn't matter because once you buy your 1st Glock, you'll be coming back for more.
How much did the conversion kit cost?
Just go to lone wolf distributors website and order the 9mm conversion barrel. Should only be about $150. much better than spending another 600 for another gun.
I recommend the G17, G17L, G19, G26, G34 in every generation available Then start on the .357 sig/.40's. Rinse and Repeat
Glock 19. Best all-around gun ever made. Not even sure why people argue...
Women can shoot easily
Oh, and it's the most reliable gun in the world. (Some a-hole will come by and say I'm wrong, but I'm not). Everyone should have a G19 in their collection. You'll never sell or trade it.
Well, it is not the first time someone called me an a-hole
