Can you remove the barrel from a Glock 20 install a barrel from a Glock 22 & shoot .40 cal? Able to switch back & forth like I do with my Pointman?

No. The barrels are not the same.

People have fired .40SW out of 10mm pistols, similar to firing .38spl out of a .357mag, but it is not recommended.

Check with some of the after market barrel makers for a dedicated .40sw barrel for a G20. And don't expect perfect feeding from a 10mm mag. Also, change the spring.

I think he may mean just swapping barrels out in the G20. I don't think the G20 was designed with that in mind.

Yes, I know. The G20 and G22 barrels are not the same. They do not interchange.

    G20

People should not fire .40 cal in a 10mm because when doing so the 40 cal cartridge is held in place by the extractor. ( both rimless cartridge's, 40 cal's shorter length)

I am considering a Gloc0k 20 because of the 15 round capacity. The idea of possibly switching the barrel and shooting .40 cal came from my doing that with my Dan Wesson 1911. I swap the barrel and recoil spring and it feeds and functions perfectly off the 10mm magazine. I did this because 10 mm ammo was scarce for awhile.

MetalForm makes a great .40SW magazine for your 1911.

40 cal and 357 sig easily converted to shoot 9mm

In the CTD catalog #404 page 46, CTD offers Glock conversion barrels. "convert your Glock .40 S&W or .357 into a 9mm simply by switching barrels and using a 9mm magazine."
Has anyone tried this conversion? This makes me wonder if the 40 cal can be converted, why not the 10mm?

The Lone Wolf conversion barrels are reported to work great, though the chambers are tight.

I have 2 of them on order right now for 2 of my M22s.

    Lone Wolf Barrels

Replacement 40 cal or the 9mm conversion?

Conversions. I'm not a fan of .40, but rather than get rid of my .40 Glocks, I'll just turn them into 9mm with conversion barrels. I have a couple of spare 9mm top ends for a couple of them, but the LW barrels are cheap and easy. And I have a few Glock .40s.

    10mm & 40cal difference

I read in the "Glock Buyers Guide Personal Edition" that the Glock .40's are 1.18" wide (same as the 9mm's) and the G20/29 are 1.27" wide (same as the 45). I assume the wider frame accounts for the difference in the barrels. I guess I will just have to buy a 10.

    I have a G20 (10mm) and bought a lone wolf conversion barrel to shoot. 40 S&W.
I have put a couple hundred rounds through it using the 10mm stock mags and have had no issues or FTF at all! I already had a SS guide rod in it. So not sure if that has benefited its performance.
