I was talking to a rep from Glock at the local Frankonia hunting store. He was talking about a new carbine coming out in 2015 for international consumers. They saw the Barretta carbine and went with their own version. They say it will be revolutionary due to the barrel being covered by polymer casing it's entire length. There will be weaver (picatinny) railing on top and bottom of their gun. The gun will be totally modular. They are selling lights, lasers and reflex scopes for the rifles. The first calibers will be 9mm and .40. Yet, he assumes all calibers will be introduced. The spring will be a double spring. There may or may not be an external safety. Magazines will go up to 30 rounds (Glock produced). I asked about a full auto version, but he just smiled at me. Imagine a 10mm in full auto! I might buy a Glock after all.

You're a bit late for an April fools joke. There have been rumors of a Glock carbine for years. I'll be leive it when I see it. Glock already has 33 rd mags for their full auto Glock 18, so it would be a beautifull thing to have a carbine that used the same mags as the pistols. Not that civilians would be able to own a new full auto in the US since it would be produced after the cutoff date for transferrable firearms.

I can only imagine that they would sell well if they keep it simple, makes sense if they want to keep making money as a company must always innovate. When was the last reason to get excited about glock, don't get me wrong, I've drank the koolaid twenty years ago, the gen four stuff is cool , colors are cool if you can get one but the release of the g30s,,,, really? Wow! Come on glock stay with us.

I agree, it would be easier for them to just use the 33 rounders

And why haven't they made a dedicated .22 lr pistol like s&w did with the m&p line. They would sell like hot cakes.

Gaston Glock is remarkably focused. Rather than stretch into new markets, they stay laser-focused on the products they already make. I doubt a single-stack 9mm will be coming anytime soon. And a carbine might never come while Glock, himself, is around.

I sure wish we had more choices than the KelTec, the HiPoint, and the Beretta for a PCC. Ruger? S&W? Kahr? Come on!!!!
