I've had a threaded glock 19 factory barrel for a year now. I've noticed copper looking streaks inside the barrel that go with the grooves...is this rust in my barrel or what? Sorry for the crappy pics. Best I could do. I've used mpro 7 copper remover and nothing. Thinking about contacting lock possibly.

From the pics it Looks like rust.
I'm not experienced with mpro7. I've heard good things though.
What kind of mop or brush do you use for cleaning? Have you tried any other solvents or oils?
Are you sure it is a factory barrel?

Yes it's a factory glock stamped barrel. When I rub a qtip over the spots it doesn't show any hang up or seem rough. It has a very low round count, maybe 300 total. I most often use a bore snake post range time. Clean with froglube. I wish I could get a clearer picture. Bcz it's very goldish(like copper).

If it doesn't catch on a q-tip and it isn't rust, I wouldn't worry too much.
You could try a different type of brush and a different solvent but it likely isn't worth the trouble.
It's a glock. Just keep shooting.

Curiosity mostly. I have two other glock barrels and neither show this discoloration with the same ammo. Ill keep my eye on it and get into contact with cs.

I checked both my G19 and G21 factory threaded barrels and have similar copper/bronze streaks. Nothing to really worry about imo. They're most likely just color stains from the bullets. Typical barrel rifling has lands and grooves (or hills and valleys). The copper streaks were only on the lands (hills) in my barrels. So it kinda makes sense.

    Any response yet from Glock?

Yes heard back from glock. They said this is typical in their threaded barrels. The armored suggested soaking the barrel in hoppes #9 copper solvent over night. I'm just thankful it's NOT rust. Thanks for checking your barrels, makes me feel better.

I get that on my barrels also and I soak mine in hoppe's once every 10 times I take the guns to the range. What I've noticed is it depends on what bullet you use, certain ones leave that copper line, some don't.

My SD ammo is Hornady CD, I've shot a fair amount of it through my 19. Again, I'm just relieved its not rust.

Typical copper fouling. It is not significant in a low velocity pistol barrel. In a high velocity rifle it can be crippling to accuracy.

Operative part of the info is "bore snake". Try Shooter's Choice bore solvent and the Glock bore brush. It will come out.
