Low quality. Does not list materials. Slide is not forged. Heavy!

Dunno. The Turks have made some quality guns and some that leave a bit to be desired. They have made good CZ copies, the Cougar that was made on Equipment bought from Beretta, some good shotguns.

It's an ATI import to compete with the PI offerings.

My experience with them is on equal with an entry level 1911.

Its not a Colt, but for those that want to own an inexpensive 1911, they should not ignore these firearms.

So you've handled it then? Tell me more. Why is anything but forged no good or of lesser quality?

Do you want your slide to detonate?.... You can buy a ria or metro arms for the same price. Do yourself the favor and do so.

That explains little. Review I read said it was forged, just not what he called "match grade".

Was being sarcastic. Here's a match grade barrel on my colt.

Then perhaps the reviewer was speaking of the barrel of his Girsan, not the slide. Hmmm

Only makes me want to buy more. I hate buying into what others have all gathered around the fire to see. I'd rather walk down the way and try something frowned upon for one reason or another. I live for exclusivity. So I think this Girsan is exactly what fits my bill.

RIA and Metro don't have forged slides either. They all are using extruded slides.

Don't know about match grade, but a matched slide is usually hand fitted and lapped to the frame so the slide and frame rails are an exact fit.

Who extrudes carbon or stainless steel?

Cold and hot rolled maybe but extruded?

Forged, tool, bar or cast maybe.

This is all foreign language to me. Does this all have to do with the hardness/rigidity of the material?
