    Is there a way to limit picture sizes to avoid the need for 36" wide screens. :D

    You can re-size pictures in Photobucket Photobucket or Dr. Pic DrPic.com Free Web Picture Editor and each will help you.

    And even worse - huge out of focus pictures at that! :p

    It is a common 'net-etiquette' faux pas, but I imagine we would have to ask Keith if the board software is capable of automatically resizing pictures to a maximum size. I know some other sites that do it that way, and it is a welcome feature in my eyes.

    It does get old when someone replies with a 5 paragraph response and never hits the enter key for a carriage return, and the whole thing ends up as a single (mile long) string of text. :(

    Even so - you have to remember that some folks barely know how to attach a picture to a post, much less how to re-size it before hand. The guy with 6 posts under his belt, I would probably cut him a little slack myself.

    Keith: What say you? :eek:

    I remembered to resize my last pic, in fact resized to twice just to make sure, Microsoft pic viewer worked fine.

    Not sure of a way to limit the size of how a picture is displayed when posting using the IMG tags.

    Is it possible to automatically include the width attribute in the IMG tags? :confused:
    e.g. WIDTH=500
    HTML:
    <html>
    <body>

    <IMG SRC="http://www.firearmstalk.com/forums/attachments/f66/10305d1265490391-shooting-38-ps-range-009.jpg" WIDTH=500>

    </body>
    </html>

    That is great Linda, but obviously not everyone is going to be quite so considerate. You wanna volunteer to be the "Photo Size" Police? ;) :D

    Limiting photograph sizes

    Someone else asked this question not so long ago, strangely they were complaining about pictures being too small.

    Click

    Image dimensions can be automatically controlled with a simple edit of the CSS file. This is the file which controls the presentaion of the forum and it's posts.
