I have a Highpoint C9 (9mm) and it came with a rear "Ghost sight" its just a little circle with 2 prongs that stick in towards the center. Apparently you line the prongs up with the fron sight like you would the standard sights. I was just curious if anyone knew how this was benefecial or could give any insight into why I would want this on my firearm.

Ring sights cause you without thinking to center your vision in the middle, can save you like 1/100 of a second of aiming, but are often snagging your shirt or getting in the way on pistols IMO. But they do help to aim quickly.

I see, Thanks for the info. Does anyone use this over a standard sight?

I don't see alot of people doing it, but as with many things it isn't how many other people do it, it is - does it work for you?

My used c-9 came with the Ghost site attached. Like anything you can learn to use it. I prefer the normal sights over the ghost. Doesn't take much to switch so you can try it out and see the difference.
