I recently picked up 2 more guns, one of them being the carbon 15 for a pretty nice deal. I am wanting to find a nice scope for it so I could use it for longer range shooting. What would some of you guys recommend to be best for this rifle? are there any good laser suggestions too for this? I may equip one of those for closer range.

Let me know what you go with. I just got one myself. Did you get the Bushmaster C15 Superlite O.R.C. The one I got come with a red dot.

Yeah that is the same one I picked up, seems like a very solid gun though I haven't been able to put any rounds through it yet. I've always loved the look of the M16 so I'm pretty happy to have my hands on a near identical model. I have heard Leupold's are great scopes, I just want to have something low profile for this beast.

Nice! It looks good, I haven't done a thing to mine yet. I still haven't decided on a scope yet, I want a laser on mine too but would like to incorporate it with the scope somehow, at least on the same tactical rail but not sure how to go about that yet, any ideas?

My local pawn shop had some scopes with lasers built in. Get on amazon, and search Ar 15. You will be amazed.

I did see some on there but will have to take another look at what they have to offer. I just want to make sure I get a nice quality scope as well, I don't need the absolute best but still, a nice one.

I have the Sightmark 8.5-25x50 Riflescope on mine. The same one is on my Mossberg ATR 100 30-06.

Lots of good stuff our there for less than $400 just remember you wont be able to use Low profile mounts , your objective end will probably hit the hand guard and to low you will fill like your trying to cram yourself into the gun to hard to get into the scope . You need to think about how far you intend on shooting with it , will it be 300 yards or less or past that out to 500 ? a 1-4 power scope is perfect for 300 or less , you really dont need anything over a 9X for a .223 cartridge . Nikon, Leupold, Burris , Vortex, and Millet are all decent scopes in that price range, Lucid has a really really nice scope for just a little bit over that price, as does a few others .

It will be somewhere in the range of 5x, a little bit of distance but nothing crazy as I intend to get a bolt action for real long distance down the road. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have a look, have heard a lot of good about leupolds but they seem to be quite pricey. I also already have high rise mounts, just need the scope.

As for the guys with scopes, how do you like them?

So here is what I went with, it's a Scorpion Armaments tactical scope with laser. I don't know much about the brand and haven't shot with it yet, but so far out of the box I really like it and it looks great on the gun. Also the optics seem to be clear, for what I paid I can't complain.

My dad also gave me a single point sling for my birthday, seemed very fitting for this gun.

Never heard of those scopes. Hopefully it works out well for you.

The sling should be moved to the rear. So your rifle points down if you have to go hands free. If you let go of the rifle with it attached up front, the muzzle will possibly be pointing at you.

Yeh I hadn't either but it had good reviews. As for the sling I unfortunately don't have a way to mount it in the rear currently. I hold it in a way though that prevents it from pointing at me
