    German firearms law #1

When you register your new firearm, one of the questions on the form is, "does it come with a silencer?". Oh, and why you need a silencer. Can anybody guess the main reason the government will allow you to own a silencer? One guess, it is quite scary.

Because they don't want to hear about it when you shoot somebody?

BTW, I've been curious; are you a German, or a US citizen living in Germany?

Doesn't it have to deal with hunting? So you won't disturb the villages or something?

And before we sat back and let the idiotic laws take place, it was the same here (way before I was born. My generation can't be blamed for that one) and you could pick them up in any hardware store for about 2 bucks or less.

I've yet to hear of any instance that placing such restrictions on suppressors has made society safer. They simply look scary I guess.
