Gas tube roll pin

    What size punch do I need to remove the gas tube roll pin? Can I get one at Home Depot it lowes?

    Can't remember the size. I have an entire kit with all the sizes. I do know that lowes and home depot don't carry roll pin punches.I'll see which one it is when I get home. I'm sure you can google it.

    1/32 should do it. I think 1/16 would be too big.

    5/64 or 1/16 will do it. helps to preserve the roll pin if you use a roll pin punch instead of a flat punch

    Also helps if you use another punch to align the holes and knock it out of the way when you hammer it (or a another pin) back in -- worth it to invest in a roll pin punch (set).

    Use a double layer of well-stuck-on duct tape with a tiny hole around where you are punching if you are using a flat punch!

    I use a soft hammer for driving pins. Thats a hammer with a semi soft rubber side and a hard plastic side. Useful for hitting metal you dont want to scuff up or break.
