    Howdy,

Just picked up a gen 4 Glock 27. From what I'm reading on the web (and I’m sorry if this has been brought up in here before, I did a few searches…) has indicated that I could put a conversion barrel and a Glock 26 mag and I'd be set up for 9mm. Would I also need a different recoil spring for this conversion? What are the warranty ramifications? Are there any other reported issues with this conversion, or is it that both the 26 & 27 are identical with the exception of their barrels and magazines? Where are best place to pick up these conversion barrels? Another article in here indicated that Cheaper-Than-Dirt had some good deals. Thanks.

I cannot comment on this directly because I've never used a conversion in the 27, but I have used one in a 22. It worked fine. Some people report having FTE malfunctions, and switch the extractor for one from a 9mm. I haven't heard of switching spring/guide rods though.

Glass (department Glock armorer) says the 26 and 27 are the same spring system, it is a double spring recoil system.
