I recently purchased a brand new Glock model 22. I got into a talk about guns with my boss and he started telling me about all these accessories that he had to sell me. He mentioned a magazine, but said that it was from a g23 he'd previously owned. Would the g23 mag properly function in the g22? I've looked it up a few times, but haven't got a straight answer yet. They're the same caliber, so I wouldn't see why not. But, I'm also new to this, so what do i know? thanks for any help.

No. The G23 mag is shorter than the G22 mag. Because the G22 has a longer grip, the G23 mag does not go in far enough.

However G22 mags will work in the G23, it'll just stick out a little bit.

I should've figured. I'm sure he told me it would work in my g22 just to try to load some of his old crap onto a noobie. He wants to sell me a glock light for it, a holster, and that magazine all for $75. I bet the light don't even work lol thanks for the help!
