I will be carry my SR1911 in a Longballer custom holster when it arrives!! Right now I carry a G35 in a N82 pro tactical IWB at 3 o'clock. The G35 in length is 8.74" and sometimes depending on body angle it prints the bottom of the handle. I think the reason it prints at times is where I have my holster.

300-3:15 IWB canted forward, 5 inch 1911. Ride the holster high and keep it off your hip bone, never will notice it.

Shoulder holster, standard 1911A1, left side, muzzle down, butt forward. Worked under a suit coat/ blazer, but do not button unless coat is cut rather generously.

What brand holster? Tuckable? My career choice requires business dress most days...
Get the Galco Suppression Holster. It is a tuckable IWB. And yes it is possible to conceal carry a full size. With an IWB, barrel length doesnt matter because its all inside the pant. I do it every day

Hi, I am 6' tall and run about 300 lbs and carry a full size 1911 .45acp every day, summer, winter and whatever ( being in Az we don't have a lot of variety temps wise!) behind my right hip in a Galco Royal Guard holster. I find it rides lower than most yet affords an exceptional combat grip. My work requires professional dress as well and under a sports jacket it is invisable. Good luck-Rudy:)

I've got a Galco paddle, Blackhawk Serpa and a Crossbreed Super Tuck IWB. The Crossbreed conceals best and is the most comfortable. That said, both my 1911's are Colt, too heavy for EDC. MHO you understand.

I used a desantis IWB on my colt 1911. I'm a smaller guy and had no problem concealing it. Remember that the 1911 is itself a slim pistol. I've since began carrying a Springfield xdm9 3.8 with another desantis holster. While it does conceal, it is not as good as my colt.

It's slimness is great since it doesn't print as much.
