Freedom Group for Sale

I just read that Cerberus is planning to sell the Freedom Group which owns Remington, Marlin, Bushmaster, Advanced Armament, DPMS, Dakota Arms and H&R. Wouldn't it be great if FN bought them and brought the same high manufacturing quality to the products of these brands as they have to 'Winchester' M70s? Or maybe some very motivated entrepreneurs like Ronald Coburn of Savage will buy individual brands and focus on manufacturing high quality and innovative products. I'm trying to look on the bright side. My fear is another group of investors who would consider the company just another asset in their portfolio will buy The Freedom Group and all these great brands.

Well Cerberus kind of ran most of those great brands into the dirt as far as QA goes. It may be best if they were sold off indiviually to rise on their own merits once again.

Almost ran home depot into the ground
Finished off Chrysler
Has not done anything with Freedom Group
