Found a Winchester Model 88-Cheap

    It's chambered for .308 Winchester. The gun was very cruddy and the bore was full of lint, etc. Gun cleaned up very well and the bores in perfect condition. The stock is cracked through the wrist, the front sight cover is missing, a butt plate screw is missing and the front stock screw is the wrong one. Will order a new stock from Boyds.

    Gun cost me $200.

    That is a Post-64 Mdl. 88. With a proper fitting wood to metal stock they are very accurate. :)

    Wow! A great find. A Boyd's stock will cost around $75 plus a little work on your part. But, you could easily triple your money.

    Nice find alsaqr. Here's mine, also in .308. Made in 1959.

    Oh man. Last one I saw (in very good condition) was selling for $750.00. I think you got a good deal.
