Name your best, or any decision, based on what you have learned at this forum!

I decided to buy a Hi Point to see what the fuss is about. I tried the gun, it works as designed. I sold the gun, I didn't like it, 'cause I'm a gun snob.:D But, really, I have nothing bad to say about them...

Those of us who know everything, are annoyed by those who think they do. :D

I learned a couple things about my DE44.

    Due to it's size and type {i.e.-a 44 Rem Mag Auto-Loader}

it has inherent weight and handling issues.

    BUT:

    1. Hold it properly & support it firmly against recoil-

    2. Allow the mag to hang-

    3. Shoot it well-

--and it will perform jam-free, and shoot bulls-eyes.

This I culled from reading posts here, at FTF, on the topic, and I'm

glad I stuck with it, and developed the skill to shoot it properly.

I decided I would never ask a gun forum what they thought about my gun after I bought it.

I may show you a picture, but I will NOT ask your opinion. :p

that one still amazes me. a person buys a gun and then ask for advice or thoughts about it after the fact? i do my research before i buy something i am not familiar with.

and if i did buy something that turned out to be a lemon because i didn't do my homework before i bought it, ain't none of you ever going to hear one thing about it!:p

My best decision gleaned from this forum?????

Never trust what is written and to hire a practicing lawyer.

I thought I knew a lot about guns until I couldn't answer some threads.

    that still goes on:confused:

Just about everything I know about guns I learned here on FTF. I was a clean slate when I came to this forum. I've asked thousands of questions, I'm sure, over my time here.

    well said WOC.

i came here with a varied knowledge base of different firearms and have learned quite a bit myself.

i say the day a person thinks they know everything is the day they stop learning.

I came here fairly experienced in classic firearms but for some strange reason (over the last two presidential elections!) have gotten into ARs and Glocks.

I hadn't been here long when I put together a nice Daniel Defense upper, then a BCM upper. And a guy who's Pure Havoc convinced me to try a PSA upper too. (Thanks PH!) Each upper went on stripped lowers I finished. And each build functions great.

Anyone here wanting to build an AR, there's a lot of great info if you take the time to ferret it out.

One thing I think most of us agree about this place ... you hang around long enough and you're gonna buy new guns! :D

I've learned on this, and several other gun forums, that even with all of the B.S. you need to sift through, there is still more good information here than all of the so-called gun magazines put together.:)

Quoted for truth. Who writes that drivel, anyways? I have

gotten a few mags, over the years, and wottabunchahype.

    Or tripe, whatever.
