I paid $30 for a 4+ pound chuck roast yesterday.

Food will be available if you can afford it.

so any hilljack billy bob on YOUTUBE that you don't know or have never heard of tells you that the US won't have a pound of ground round because he says that beef cattle, chickens, pigs and vegetable crops will be destroyed so to, paraphrasing him in his delusional words, "overall goal is have control of the people though the food supply" you believe that. because it probably fits in your little conspiracy world and he is just saying what you want to hear.

We have 250 pounds of wild pork and venison in two freezers. No growth hormones and no antibiotics.

President Trump ordered meat plants to remain open.

Yeah, well I can order you to lay a dozen eggs.
    Let's see how that goes.

Shermie is a higher order of being and MUST mock we deplorables who listen to people who are plugged in to reality. Don't hate him, that's what he's looking for.

Maybe the plants will stay open with sick people, maybe they'll have to pay enough for recovered people to take the jobs, maybe Trump can force military people to do it temporarily. Yes, you have to learn the job, but it's not rocket science. Two days on the line, you can rip the gall bladder away from the liver or whatever your task is. It's not like you're starting with a sledge hammer and a knife and ending up with rib-eyes and filet mignon.
At any rate, I don't anticipate widespread starvation. I DO expect the price of meat to go up significantly, and don't expect it to come back down.
But hey, I never thought I'd see gas under $2/gal again...

Well it is a fact! Since several employees of the Meat Packing Plants got COVID-19 they were going to shut the plants down. Trump ordered them to stay open. If you do not believe there is an effect happening just go to the store. SAMS Clubs Beef and Pork shelves were almost empty today. We are playing right into Pelosi and the Socialist's plan! So GO BACK TO WORK and tell the Government to stay out of our business. Yes we will be rolling the Dice with COVID but that is just how it is going to be for sometime. Let's not destroy our America and let the Socialists win!
And since I am not a farmer I can not be too critical about Billy Bob's position and condition. At the cost of farming, equipment, livestock and producing products they today like us need income as well. If you don't you are one lucky person and in the minority today!;)
SO let's get back to life!

No food shortages here or any talk of it, so i don't see why America would be any different.

I guess your area is different than mine. The grocery stores around here are stocked up pretty well on any type of meat you want. Beef has gone up a little,Pork is still cheap, and Chicken still remains plentiful.
I was at Wally World yesterday and grabbed 3 racks of Baby Back Pork Ribs for $8-9 a rack. That's pretty cheap. I got a freezer full of both store bought and game meat.

If I start running low and the stores are out,I'll just kill and process my own as I usually do.

Possibly they are in lock down here apart from essential services, that would include food production and transport etc. PS they did include off Licences as they call them here, that sold alcoholic. But when they figured out their would probably be riots, they changed their minds. :)

effect at 11.00 pm on Saturday 28 March, placing certain restrictions on businesses and services from that date.

I am with you! Some of the bigger stores like Sam's in the larger cities are low. Panic seems to rule the larger cities supply more than it does in the country!
However, we have a Food Lion and a Small town market close to us that seems to be doing OK on meat. And as you, living in the mountains in the woods there is plenty of game around here if needed. With a lot of Deer and Turkeys and fish in the lake. Also our two freezers are well stocked and we are OK as far as other items as well. Of course living where we do it isn't like you can just go down to the corner store if you know what I mean!
It's called a list on the "Refrigerator" and you get all of it when you go to town!

I think it was a year ago during all the flooding in the midwest the (lying) media predicted food shortages.

The Bible also predicts that the end times will be characterized by famines.

If you're not paying attention that's kinda on you
