I think I like the fns better but I can only find the ppq. Wondering what u guys think about either of these guns as far as performance/maintenance/price. Might get the ppq in 9mm and the fns in .40

If all you can find is the PPQ, and it meets your needs, then why look for the FNS?

Logistics sometimes has a reason for offering only one model and not the other. Recalls, problems at the manufacturer, importation, or other things could create a state of none availability.

The FNS has been discontinued and replaced by the FNX. CDNN still has FNS models available. I just bought an FNX9 and haven't put any rounds through it yet, but it feels like a solid gun and one that I will really like. I've never owned or shot the Walther, but the mag release does seem hard to use in those I have held at my LGS. Not much help, but it's all I got.

I have a FNX 40. It's flawless, maybe 750 rounds through is so far, and not an issue yet. I wouldn't hesitate to carry mine at all.

I've put 100's of rounds through it and have never had a single mishap of any type.

    Excellent gun IMHO
