Say you had unlimited funds to buy guns with, but you are limited to five guns. What would they be and why? I'm still new to the whole firearm scene so I don't have five yet, I only have two right now, but I'm sure most people could think of their top five. Here are my top 2. 1) M1 Garand 2) Totally tricked out AR-15 3) To be determined 4) TBD 5) TBD I chose #1 because I've always been interested in WWII and that rifle helped up win the war. It really is a part of American history. It should definitely be a staple in anyone's collection. I chose #2 because it's so versatile. You can completely customize it to suit any application. I also chose it because it's simple to assemble. I also like it because there is fun to be had with it outside of just shooting it. You can accessorize it and find new things to put on it and I think that's just as fun as shooting... well almost. Alright. Your turn. Have at it.
#1 WW2 M1 Garand w/ character Because I am a fan of WW2 and because the M1 is a very good weapon. #2 WW2 1911 Because I love my fathers 1911. It is a WW2 1911 and a blast to shoot. It is also reliable as crap. #3 a totally tricked out M4 If the world would ever fall apart I would want one. If the world doesn't ever fall apart then I want one to shoot. #4 an original Peace Maker in excellent condition I love revolvers. The Peace Maker is like the apex of em all IMO. I also like the history behind em. #5 an original 1858 Civil War New Army revolver with character I love the Civil War and I love revolvers. Even more, I love the black powder revolvers. This gun is a blast to shoot, and it is a very important part of history. I would not shoot the 1858 and I probably would not shoot the Peace Maker. I would shoot the M1 though.
1. Garand (Have one) 2. .308 semi auto rifle (have one) 3. 20ga O/U shotgun (have one) 4. M1911a1 in .45ACP (have several) 5. K-frame revolver (have several) 6. .22LR rifle (have one)
1. M14 shot one a jillion times in'67,'68 always solid and reliable (can't afford one) 2. M1 carbine, WW2 buff and they are great! (own an Underwood) 3. 20ga.O/U (Got one) 4.10-22 (got one) 5. Kentucky flint lock (wish I had one)
It would be my favorite 5 out of the 50 or so I already have. The only gun I really want that I don't have was never made. An A-5 28 gauge.
I have 27 guns right now and there are a lot more that I want! If I could only keep 5 I guess they would be????? 1- Remington 870 Wingmaster 20 ga. (my favorite bird gun of all) 2- Remington 700 CDL 7mm mag. (will take down any N.A. big game) 3- Marlin Model 60 SS (gotta have a .22) 4- MicroTech XM17-E4 .223 (gotta have a semi-auto, compact and uses AR magazines) 5- Sig P226 Equinox .40 S&W (gotta have a pistol and I shoot this one the best of all I have) This list is always subject to change however. You buy new guns and like them more than your previous favorites. But you can never get rid of any of them because they held a special place in your heart at one time, so you just keep cleaning them and maybe shoot once in a while, then you have to buy a bigger safe, more reloading dies and cleaning stuff, and pretty soon you realize that guns take up a lot of your time. It’s definitely an obsession
