    My son picked up his first c/f today. A Howa 1500 Ranchland in 7mm-08. It doesn't have the ghey stamp on the stock, which is a plus.

    Added a Leupold 3-9x40 VXII so it's time to shoot I guess.

    I have some decent low end loads using Blue Dot and 110 grain bullets so they should make some good low recoil coyote and woodchuck loads to get him used to the rifle.

    Probably too much "lipstick on a fat chick" but it's a nice rifle and he bought it with his own money.

    Obviously, a good kid.

    Good round, good rifle and comparable scope. Won't be long before he is shooting tacks with it, I bet.
