Purchased a Charter Arms .327 patriot target. Absolutely love it.
Thought I would post what led me to decide on this particular weapon.
I had a few considerations in mind. I wanted something that someone that has never (I mean never) fired a weapon would be able to handle, and still get the job done. For myself I wanted something that would be fun to shoot. Price, I also wanted to get a new rifle.
The result, .32 S&W Longs have almost no felt recoil (to me) and can be shot without hearing protection (not recommended). The magnums they can get it done. I ran FMJ .32 longs through it without issue and for a less than expirenced pistol shooter out of 24 rds they were all on the paper at 20 ft some close to the bull.
I got the rifle and the pistol for less than $900.00 In my gun locker.

Good on you. 2nd handgun I ever bought was a Charter Arms, still have it 35 yrs later, The Lovely Mrs loves it. Target Bulldog 44 sp. Don't think I'll ever buy another Charter, I have issues with it, but I've carried it a time or two and don't feel helpless. What kind of rifle???

Savage 111FCXP3 30-06, It's got potential. Haven't had a chance to dial it in yet.

Forgot to say about the Charter Arms, not very refined but it was in the budget.

Congrats! You'll soon have something else to shoot along with it. I know it didn't take me long.

Yep, I already got an idea. Might start looking for a colt 45 or a 1911.

Well expressed and if it works for you then a good choice. Firearms are truly personal, purchased based on intended use, ability, budget and reality of life. Sounds like your happy with the purchase and at the end of the day that is what matters.

    Congrat's on both.

I really love Savage rifles. You get good rifle for the money on the 111FCXP3. Of course once you get the inevitable itch to upgrade, look at a Savage with the "AccuTrigger". Trust me its money well spent.
