It's still ugly, but now it's tan and ugly.

    Thanks.

I just did the rear sight housing. The contrast actually helps me with quick pickup of that rear ghost ring sight.

    Says you.;)

Honestly, it looks a hell of a lot better with the tan. Now you should paint the bottom of the mag bright yellow and put a NiCad sticker on it, or maybe DeWalt.:D

It does look better...did you just paint or is it some kind of rubber grip??

I used some heavy duty "flat earth" krylon paint. I sandpapered the areas first to give something for the paint to "bite" onto.

Cool, since I have 2 exact pistols I always have some tape on one so I can differentiate, never thought of painting the grip, might go for it...

Have you looked into the decal grips that are sold these days? It might save you the trouble of accidentally spraying where you don't want to spray.

The only reason I sprayed those parts on my Hi-Point is because, well, it's a really cheap weapon, and I was able to take those parts off the weapon to ensure a good coverage without getting the spray on something unintentionally.

Good job Sgt, Contrast in color takes away some of the ugly. I bet you own the nicest looking HI-point out there.
