I'm building my first AR (16" mid length gas)
...I need help ordering my buffer tube and spring

Do I need a carbine buffer tube and spring or a rifle buffer tube and spring?
Does it matter? If either one will work, then what are the pros and cons of each?

Yes, it matters. I used an A2 style stock on a lower for my 6.8 spc carbine, the tube is longer therefore the spring is longer. But I still had to use a carbine H buffer.

Do you want a fixed stock, or an adjustable stock?

So I went with a bravo company carbine buffer tube, a bravo company buffer and a carbine length spring...

    That'll be fine, yeah?

as long as they are all either mil-spec or commercial, yes. As mentioned above, its really dependent on what your vision, POU, philosophy of use, is... plinking? hunting? home defense? all of the above? etc.

You done good, BCM uses 7075 aluminum on their tubes, all are milspec. Just make sure your stock is milspec diameter!

Yep, as AT said, you done good. I have two BCM RE kits and you can't do better. Put a milspec CTR or stock of your choice and the rear of your rifle is GTG.
