I just got a used G19 gen 3 (early model), which is my first Glock. It is a retired LEO gun, but other than some holster wear, it's a good gun.

The recoil spring has been replaced already. Since the gun is a few years old and I don't know how may rounds this gun has fired, should there be any hurry to replace the firing pin (& spring)?

Any favorite places to get parts online?

first problem is its a glock... JK.

have you shot it yet? are there any malfunctions?
if yes, you should try to figure out the problem and fix it.

if not, dont worry about it.

would you replace a car battery after 5 years? regardless if your car started everytime. or would you wait till your car failed to start. or tesed bad?

No haven't shot it yet, but I will this week end. Swapping out for a new firing pin came up in a discussion, but I wanted some ideas from other Glock owners.

It's going to have to get used to hanging out with 1911's, but I think it will work out!

I was hoping to hear "shoot it 'til it breaks" and that seems to be the consensus.

    And I just bookmarked rockyourglock.com

    Thanks!
