Alright guys I decided to trade my mossberg 500 off for a 7mm Mauser I don't know a thing about this gun besides it a Mauser on the side of it it says mauser chieno modelo 1895 deutsche waffen -und munitionsfabriken Berlin I will post pics of it in little bit

Model 1895 made by Mauser for a Chilean military contract. It is a pre 1898 model which means the action is not quite as robust. They are still a good quality rifle when using factory ammo or handloads made to lower pressure specifically for the 93/95 actions.
The round in a more modern bolt gun can be loaded pretty hot and when it is loaded hot it will have an advantage over the 7-08 because of the extra powder capacity. In the lower pressure factory loads it is about like a hot and flatter shooting .30-30.

Thanks I know different rifle shoot better then others but what can I see in accuracy

So your pretty much say there is a slight chance with reloads or even modern loads it can blow up right?

There is a chance you can damage the head space. It is like down loading for a lever action. Just bear in mind this is not a 700 Remington Action.
As for as accuracy it is a military Spec. rifle of the last century. It should be a good 100 yd. deer rifle with the iron sights. The twist rate is fast so you may need a heavy bullet. Good Luck

So it like load up for a old 45-70 should be easy now to accuracy I know I'm not goin to get sub Moa out it but would a ballpark be 3-31/2 inch?

I have one that i handload for. Great rifle, mine will shoot 1 to 1-1/2 inch groups all day long at 100 yards off the bench bags with iron sights.

140 grain gamekings over a load of varget seem to be the best load in mine. 2765 fps on the chrony. Be prepared to play with seating depth to get the best accuracy. Those oldthroats are not too consistant.

Yep there some history to the round alright I was wondering think its a good idea if I redo the stock because its has a nice amount of ware on it and I need a project

Too bad bubba got a hold of it. A Chilean Mauser in original condition is bringing quite a price nowadays. Don't listen to these guys about the "might not be safe to shoot w/ higher pressure loads stuff." That action is plenty strong. The problem is that the bolt does not have the same gas venting ability as a 98 Mauser if a cartridge were to let go. That being said, a load a grain or two under maximun will be fine. Those 95 Mausers are very accurate too.
