Finally found

    Just ended my long search for an issued colt. It's a 1918 colt 1911. Needs a front sight post but got the pistol and an Abercrombie&fitch Calvary holster for 900!!!!!

    Not much left on the ol finish and the grips need changed. Also the mag is not correct.How bout the 1917 ammo?

    Thats sure is nice and if it could speak and tell it's history, wonder if any died in her care or how many krauts it put in the grave.

    Thank you. Yeah when the guy called me I couldn't get over there fast enough. Yeah i wish i knew its entire story. Im sure its a good one. Piece of history. Love it. I'm going to strip it all down this evening and try and locate all the proofs on it. Does anyone know of any good web sites to locate some original grips and a front sight post?

    I finally found a ria 1911 tactical today full size at a gun couple miles away hey want $ 528 + tax is this good price ?

    You'll want a pair of double diamond checkered walnut grips to be period correct.
