I have a FIE Tex .22 pistol I bought 34 years ago. Does anyone know anything about these pistols. It locked up on me so I had to take it apart and free everything up. What I realized that if you tighten up the two brass screws it tight it puts the gun on a bind. Is this normal with these old pistols

No it is not normal. Though it is normal for that particular pistol to have problems. How are we supposed to know which two screws you are referring to? danf_fl is likely correct about wear causing the problem. Though in that revolver the wear could easily be in the frame of the gun also. I'm sure you know that it is not worth fixing unless you are emotionally attached to it.

e parts I'm going to purchase for it. It's a cheap cowboy gun to go out with and just plink cans with. My kids saw it for the first time yesterday and they were in awe with it. Thought it was more cool then my Glocks I just bought and they are 18 and 19 years old. Go figure

Well I appreciate the offer but I've already ordered the parts for it. Was surprised this place had everything I needed. And not a bad price either.save it for the next poor sole that comes along. If I didn't already order the parts I would of jumped on your offer. Thanks
