I'm thinking about trying to find one of these pistols. Would appreciate some info on it as I'm not very knowledgable about it , also what price range should I expect. THANKS

    PA-63?
Ther is a PA-63 that shoots the 9x18 makarov ammo. That CDNN place in texas has them. I bleve their phone # is 800-588-9500.

I had asked them about a cz-82, and they seem very helpful.

You probably want to know more "hands on" than Wikipedia has: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PA-63

You could take a look at Gunbroker.com to see what they are going for there. I looked & there were some around $200.

(upon re-reading, this post seems fairly dickish, sorry was not intended) :)

CDNN would be the best place to find one I don't know if they have any new in box ones or not still left. The ones imported for KBI imports are the best they send them back to the factory in Hungary and have them refurbed to like new.

CDNN also carries extra mags there a little pricey but it's a good idea to have couple extras you never know when you might need one and can't find a replacement.

I like the PA-63 because of the traditional rifled barrel, shoots cast bullets better than the polygon rifling like the CZ-82 those are nice pistols for the money and come with two 12 rd. double stack mags. and original holster so not a bad deal there either.

I've been building grips for them for a couple of years now and I feel that they're one of the best deals going for a surplus pistol and they're the perfect size (IMO) for a CCW. Recoil can be a tad snappy for some folks, but that can be helped with a simple spring change.
