A friend is a psychiatrist at a federal prison. She is a tiny person. In fact, she worked her way through college as a jockey at the local tracks. The prison expects her to qualify with a Ruger P95 and a Mossberg 500 with a full 14.5" stock. She doesn't even use the P95 on the job. She got an exemption to carry a G26 concealed.

If there is a prison riot that gets into the offices she has been instructed to lock herself in her office or get out of the building. She doesn't even have access to a shotgun.

The fed is dishing out a lot of training to people who using a gun is not part of the job. I am sure the FBI sends administrative assistants to firearms school and other tactical training.
