Whats your favorite rifle? Mine is the M1 garand
depends on what i plan on shooting. i have many to choose from. depends on my mood when i get ready to shoot.
Favorite rifle ive ever shot falls between the 1903 springfield and the m14.
I dont either but i want to own both one day esp the 1903 but right now my favorite rifle to shoot i own is my 91\30
Here is my Favorite................
I see what you did there.
My dad had one of those as his first gun.
I love that old rifle, one of my Uncles gave it to me. Dads oldest brother, same name as mine, he had no kids of his own, just one step daughter..........
That's like asking which one is your favorite kid!!! I love them all for different reasons. The one that goes out hunting the most is my Kimber 84 Classic in 7mm-08 wearing a Kahles 2-7 scope. One of the finest hunting rifles I have ever owned and pure joy to carry around all day since it does not break 7 lbs.
My Winchester model 70 300 win mag
Sorry lol ment to post it once
OP, weren't you just going on about how you love the M4 and M16
That gun is gorgeous! That looks exactly like the bolt action of my dreams!
My favorite that I own is probably my Winchester 94 .30-30 for its classic beauty, my love for lever guns, and the great sentimentality I hold in it.
Mine is a Remington Model 7 that has been re-barrelled to the 358 Hoosier.
I had a gun smith from out West do the work and he did a great job. He replaced the barrel with a 358 20" long magnum contour. He also installed a kick eez recoil pad and did all the stuff that brings out all the accuracy a rifle has. It has gone from a safe queen to being my go to rifle. It is easy to carry and fun to shoot. Also it is one of the most accurate rifles I have.
The 358 Hoosier is a wild cat round that is legal for hunting deer in Indiana. Indiana is very picky on what you use in a rifle to kill a deer. Now if you shoot a deer with a hand gun you can use any common caliber that is 6mm or bigger.
The 358 Hoosier is made from cutting down the 308 Winchester by .2". Then run it through a full length 358 Hoosier sizing die. Then load it and you have the round. You can buy the rounds from a couple of Indiana gun shops. They cost about $3.00 a round. Being cheap, I make my own. .1" is taken out of the neck of the case and .1" is taken out of the case body so it is very close to the ballistics of the 358 Winchester.
I am getting 2450 F.P.S. with a 200 gr bullet out of a 20" barrel. That isn't even a max load. I don't like max loads so when I got to 2450 I quit. That gives me a point blank range of 235 yards with a 6" vital zone. I can get to 300 yards using a 12" hold over. All in all I am very happy with the rifle and round.
It's a real toss up between the M1 Carbine and my Marlin 60. I can shoot the Marlin all day long but the Carbine is so much fun to shoot. And of course there is the AR too. They're all great guns and depending on the day, I guess any of them could be my favorite. I forgot to mention the Mosin and the 30-30 lever action, they're right in there too. Guess I can't pick one....
This Remington 700 30.06 with a McMillan Mountain Rifle stock is my all time favorite rifle. It used to be my dad's.
Precisely. There's a reason any/all of them made it into my safe. Today, my favorite is the newest addition, a Henry Big Boy 357mag. Tomorrow? Ask me then.
Over all the Winchester Mdl 70 270 Win.. But I have favorite small game , small varmint , large varmint, small big game, and big game rifles. But that 270 I got in 1952 was used for all untll I could get $$ saved for a varmint rifle in 1957.
Rearguardless of caliber I seem to end up with a Remington 700 LH in my hands more than any other rifle, but I do love my lever guns!!!
ONE of my favorites,
Uberti Yellow Boy 45LC.
That's very cool, I'd never heard if that round. Very good looking rifle too.
