Going on just the history of the gun, I would have to go with the Mosin Nagant. It has an amazing history that very few guns could come close to beating. Going on Iconic, I would go with either the M1 Garand, or a 1911A1.

I would have to say the M2 due to it's signature sound and how much fun it is!

Yeah sure, you can find them everywhere and that would take at least one kidney to pay for . I have one like that, but it's on and essex frame and nowhere close to that condition but the worst part is someone drilled it for a bomar rib.

So many game changers out there from the Mauser 98, colt saa, Henry, Winchester, just about every design John browning came up with, but my fav would have to be the m1 grand. Fast reload, long distance shooter, exceptional accuracy.

What was that derringer that Booth used, some .44 or other?

But seriously, probably the Kentucky Rifle style of muzzle-loading rifle from the frontier era.

I like the colt saa, mauser 98, I've always wanted to handle a walker colt.

I grew up in the world of bolt guns, were pre 64 model 70's and pre Garcia sako's were spoken of in hushed and reverent tones.

I'm a fan of the 1903 sprinfield and the M1 Garand I really want to get both... but I think the 1911 is a epic history firearm I also need to get one.

    Thanks!

It was a pretty lil thing; it looks like the forward area of the wood stock took some damage. Nicely carved grip area, IMO.
I have lusted after some reproductions of that type & thought they would be fun once in a while.

Well, it has to be a toss-up between matchlocks/flintlocks, but Civil War carbines excite me. Amazing period and Yankee Ingenuity on parade -- I fell in love with them studying mechanical drawings of their actions before I think I'd ever known what I was looking at in real life.
