Mine are westerns, partly because there were so many when I was a kid. I can still enjoy an episode of "The Rifleman" or "High Chaparral".

The greatest were in my teen years.

Girls, friends, the Apocalypse, none of these mattered on Friday nights, because of Miami Vice, still watch it today, and it has a timeless feel.

The best written show of all time? Spenser for Hire, truly great in every way.

Not many of my childhood shows still on today but I remember watching Gillette's Friday Night Boxing with my dad and brother. This one stands out the most along with Car 54 Where Are You and the Rifleman.

Quoted for Truth. I don't think I missed an episode of either.

While I liked The A Team, there was too much gun play and no one ever got shot. Except for Murdock in one episode.

Miami Vice started killing fools from day one! Here's one for Benning, you remember this quote:

    "Maybe. You....won't....even...." BANG! "twitch".

I don't watch much TV anymore, since my last set broke a couple of years ago I never replaced it and don't miss it. If there's any show I feel like watching, I can get it on-line.

When I was a kid I liked The A Team, Get Smart, Dukes of Hazzard (they had bows! loved that!), Get Smart, MacGyver and The Three Stooges.

At first my parents where thrilled with MacGyver, they thought that the "think your way out of a jam, don't shoot your way out of it" message was good. That was until my Swiss army knife and I re-enacted some of Mr. MacGyver's exploits, collateral damage was a bit more than my parents were ready to put up with (cut the electrical power to our whole building, got my dad mildly poisoned with CO, set an office on fire...). They decided it would actually be safer to get me a few guns. :)
