Check for sex offenders in your home town.

I found this site a few weeks ago, and my wife is upset about the guy next door...

Can anyone tell me what this means?
53-21(2) - Injury or risk of injury to or impairing morals of children

I own a condo, and the kid NEXT DOOR is listed...NEXT DOOR!!
We cross paths just about everday.

I also have an 8 month old daughter. ( <--- Thats her)
"impairing morals of children" can't be good...

You could look up the court case at your county courthouse and find out the particulars of your neighbor. The state statutes can be found on the state gov sites (unless that was a fed charge). EIther way you can look up the statute, but the particulars of the case will serve to inform you better. Sometimes the charges don't match the offense. The system isn't perfect, it depends on which statute the prosecutor wants to pursue in the case. It may be something less sinister than what appears on the surface.

My wife and I check the offender list every couple of months, none in our neighborhood, but they are all over the town. Thank God they states have been posting the lists on line, a great program. Enough to make you lose faith in mankind isn't it?
    Stay safe.
