I have an old double barrel that was my grandfather's. Somehow the muzzle got bent so Im going to have to cut it beyond legal to make it work. Is there a way to add length to make it legal? Please help

Don't cut it!!!!!

Any smith worth his salt can get the dent out (if not too bad).

There are tools made especially for that.

Unless you can find a replacement bbl I wouldn't even attempt it. I'd make it a wall hanger/safe queen.

...Bent or dent?

Hey, I'm dyslexic.
Gimme a break!

If the bend is not to bad, there are ways to fix it. (Just do it legally).

Shotguns arent like rifles pressures are very low and minor dents and dings can be fixed as long as the metal doesnt have a crease.

See, I'm not the only one who is dyslexic.

After getting my glasses and re-reading the OP, the word was B-E-N-T, not dent.

Haha thanks. Its BENT not DENT! It is bent just above 18'' If i do cut it it would be just legal. I heard if you weld on a flash hidder it is considered the barrel? I really want to make this work because of continental value. I have already refinished the stock and got the firing mechanism to work.

then leave it be and hang it on the wall and enjoy it as a wall hanger. if it has sentimental value, then leave it be.
