I have a colt delta elite 10mm in an original colt wood and glass presentation case. It is bright stainless (?), engraved, and has mother of pearl grips. Serial number is CDE-X (just one digit). What do I have???? Thank you for any help...

Are you looking to sell it, or just to eyeball a value for your own personal enjoyment/insurance purposes?

Your best bet to find what the value is would be to take it to a competent gun shop and ask them what it's worth.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it?

That's a beautiful pistol! The plain jane ones on Gunbroker aren't cheap; i can't imagine what that custom work is worth. GunBroker.com Search Results

I'm really just trying to find out the history of the gun (if there is any) and the value.....I wasn't specifically thinking about selling it.....I didn't buy it, I inherited it...so I REALLY know nothing about it......

Not something I've seen or in the trade books. I suggest you contact Colt directly to understand what you have. Colt should be able to give your a documented history of the pistol for a price (money well spent).

Very nice piece. I suggest that you go to http://www.coltautos.com

The cost for the history and documentation on this piece would be well worth it. Would run about $100.00.
