I'd give it a few days at minimum and handle very carefully for a few more or just not risk it and let it sit for a week.

The longer an Air Cure sits, the better it will be.

I've seen some air cure paints take up to two weeks. That is why I always paint a "test" piece at the same time.

If I get tempted to touch the firearm, I touch the "test" piece instead. That practice has kept fingerprints off of the main piece should it not be cured enough.

I've cooked the finish in our oven at 275 degrees for about 25 minutes and the paint is cured when the time is up. However, it does cause a stink while it is baking so do it when the little lady is not home.
