Was all set to buy a drag bag from Cheaper Than Dirt (love their stuff)... I was looking at the Ultimate Voodoo bag... Was comparing to Galati's mid size, etc... I stumbled upon a lot of reviews saying that Eagle made the best drag bags and I should look no further. They sound and look great, but MAN are they pricey. Are they worth all that? I mean, I'm in to the whole Made in America, MilSpec and all, but I started out thinking "bag to put my guns and crap in to go to the range", but the Eagle is like a work of art. Are they worth all that? I've never SEEN any of these...

Seems that the debate is somewhat over because google is my friend, and I found THIS: Black only, but the price from hell, I think.

    Eagle has a great reputation.

I believe Natchez is selling 2nds or something similar. Call and check w/ them. There was a huge thread on GT covering this.

Thanks MJ...I'll let you all know what I learn other than that hard cases don't work out well going to the range with multiple weapons. :)

Okay, so I'm definitely not an expert on drag bags, sniper gear or anything like it. However, I was in the service and I recognize milspec, high quality gear from hanging out with the para-riggers...and THIS, kids, is the sh*t.

I was looking for soft bags for my sniper rifle, my zombie gun, and my shotty. Everywhere I read, it was all about Eagle, but dang was it expensive as hell! Cut to the chase: Follow the link in the OP. I bought two of the Eagle Drag bags for $279 shipped.

These Eagle Drag Bags are extremely high end, made in my USA and are worth every cent.

Natchez has black only, but trust me that if you need a high end $450 bag, you should pull the trigger here with confidence!

drag bags are usually better padded and better built than just soft cases and the price usually reflects this. regular padded soft cases are just used to store and carry the rifle. drag bags are built better to protect the rifle when deploying into rough territory, hence the name drag bag. they are sometimes actually drug behind the shooter. i bought my case for like $50, but it is just used to store and carry my M4A2.

    Axxe,

Absolutely. Mine are used simply to deploy to the range (like today, to meet a fellow forum member). I drive a Mustang Cobra, so being able to fit two AR's and a shotty is important and my hard cases are too big.

I expect that my two Eagles will take WAY more punishment that Ill ever dish out. PS, I don't see any seconds on my two. I might order another.

Oh, I have a soft case from blackhawk. It's ok, and I like mag pouches on the outside, but as Axxe points out, the is no comparison between a case and a drag bag!

    Definitely does not!

I'll say there are a LOT of excellent solutions ...one for everyone and every purpose. All that aside, the Eagle drgbags rock. If you can find one for a great price grab one!

    Bonus: Made In America!

Man, there things hold a lot of gear! I had one like a back back another in one have and a range bag in another. Two trips to the range and the bags are flawless and sturdy enough to last me forever!
