I have AR-10 from Armalite, and they do use a modified M-14, M1A mag.
Early AR-10 from ArmaLite used UNmodified M-14 Mags, but there aren't many of them around anymore.
I have had DPMS AR-10's in the past and they did use the SR-25 mags.
