I just purchased a box of Double Tap in 45acp and 9mm to use as defensive loads in my carry pistols. Does anyone have any experience with them? I wanted to try them before I purchase anymore since they are a bit pricey. Thanks, Ed

Good ammo. There are certain calibers I would use DoubleTap for (10mm), but 9mm and 45acp aren't among them. There's plenty of other equally capable 9mm options from the major manufacturers for way less. If you want high pressure, this stuff will hang with anything similar from DoubleTap. It's 127gr, 1250+fps, $25-27/box.

What recipe were you ordering that prompted you to choose DTap?

No particular reason. I just saw them and wanted to order some and give them a try. I currently use Hornady Critical Defense. They are good and I have no complaints, I wanted to just try some other types for fun. Do you have any suggestions for me to try out as well? I appreciate it, Ed

I've shot quite a lot of Double Tap mostly in .44 magnum. It is
good ammo, but as you already know quite pricey.
