    Hey y'all

My Glock 17 Gen 4 was manufactured in November of 2011.

My 9mm barrel has a dotted pentagon. Not just a pentagon, a dotted pentagon.

I am wondering as to why it is on there. So far I have read up on German/Austrian law. Is it because of the grade of steel?

I've heard that it means that that particular barrel has polygonal rifling but that's just speculation from a few sources I could be wrong I've also heard people say its a Austrian proof mark

It all seems up to conjecture at this point. Who would like to call Glock and ask them Monday morning? Get it straight from the manufacturer instead of opinions off the internet. Whatdya say?
