I just ordered some 7.62x39 154 grain sp, I have never shot this before and am wondering how well it feeds in your AK's it was a little pricey at $6.99 a box and I bought 25 boxes. Now I am worried because I do not know much about AK's and do not even know if sp will feed properly. I seen it online and bought it with out really thinking, Just wanting to make sure I will have ammo for the summer...

Congratulations! That will be great for some hunting. The heavier projectile is gonna get you a bit more recoil, though.

Wish i could find some for my SKS, but i went with the silver bear SP in a more standard weight.

Do you know anywhere you can hog hunt?

I am just wondering if I will have feeding problems? Sure I live in MO, Plenty of hogs here but I have never hunted them. My AK only has a 10" barrel any ways.
Soft points won't cycle through my WASR 10 but the rest of my AKs will eat anything.
I tried the Herters brand in my SKS. They shot good enough. The main problem I had with them was it seemed like a lot of them wanted to hang fire on me. I could hear the firing pin hit the primer and then wait a second or two then the round would go off.

I wasn't that way with all of them. But there was enough of them that way for me to notice. I would say about 10 to 20% of them. I will go back to using SilverBear 125 gr. SP
I want to add this up date:
My m92 Ak pistol did cycle the soft point perfectly, I shot 120 rounds of it with out a hiccup.
My wasr eats everything and anything

My WASR-10/63 doesnt mind them.
I'm going to hopefully get around to accuracy tests between the Herter's brand 154 grain SP vs Hornady 123 grain SST steel cassed stuff and TulAmmo 123 grain FMJ.
My ak really doesnt care what ammo it shoots when it comes to operating but for accuracy it prefers Remington 125gr soft point. I don't know why it just gives the tightest group out all the ammo I tried.
