I've been looking at a Savage Weather Warrior FSS and some people say the stocks are bad. Is this a bad rifle? Is the stock really that bad?

Their no difference from that stock than a base 110 synthetic stock.

That particular model doesn't have the Accustock, all of the other Weather Warrior series rifles have an Accustock.
The Accustock is well worth the extra coin,or you could buy that model and get a good aftermarket stock down the line, but it would cost you more than upgrading to a model with an Accustock.
The FCSS has a detachable magazine, and the FHSS has a hinged floorplate magazine. Both models come with the Accustock.

I changed the stock on mine..and the trigger, (Sav-2..rifle basix) the laminate stock added a few pounds.. but I like it better than plastic. 7mm. mag..Leupold 4.5X14X50 Vari-X III LR.

I have one that is preaccu-trigger and preaccu-stock that came with a factory synthetic stock. It had some flex to it, but wasn't really a bad stock, just cheap looking.

Like glockman55, I swapped mine out for a laminated wood stock and have been very pleased with the new results.

This Savage rifle in 7mm Rem. Mag. has always been one of the most accurate guns I own, even with the old tupperware stock.
