Neats Foot Oil was very popular to keep leather goods in great shape! Anyone still use this stuff?
Of course I use it! Besides leather, it is the cutting oil of choice for aluminum.
That sounds kewel! Can you elaborate on that aluminum thing? Never thought it had a use beyond leather conditioning and preservation.
Different metals and cutters/cutting speeds require different cutting fluids. For most aluminum work you can use neatsfoot oil as a cutting fluid(it has been used for this for many years).
Leather. Sure. Though I have gone to some baseball-glove related company's product to recondition older damaged leather.
Yes i still use it as well, leather
I wouldn't use oil on shaped and molded leather goods, such as knife sheaths and holsters. It will soften the leather and loose its shape.
